This project was developed for Original God as a custom illustration for the Medieval Torture Tee. My role focused on creating the central artwork and adapting it into a merchandise-ready composition together with TUCKSTOCK©.
The project sits within Original God’s wider artist identity, with the artist also known for his 2017 collaboration with Lil Peep on “u don’t know me”. The final artwork was designed to work as a strong standalone graphic while remaining suitable for apparel production.

Overview
The project centred on creating an original graphic for Original God’s Medieval Torture Tee. The artwork combines a central character with medieval-inspired weapons, chains, spikes, and distressed ornamental elements to create a dense, aggressive composition.
Rather than treating the illustration as a simple character image, the composition was built as a complete apparel graphic. The surrounding elements frame the character and create a strong silhouette that can hold its presence on a black garment.
The business context
The artwork was created specifically for Original God’s merchandise and needed to function as a commercially reproducible graphic rather than only as a standalone digital illustration.
Original God is also associated with a collaboration with Lil Peep on “u don’t know me”, released in 2017. This placed the merch artwork within an established artist catalogue and audience context rather than as an isolated personal illustration.
Research and discovery
The visual direction was developed around medieval torture and dark fantasy imagery, using historical-looking weapons, chains, spikes, and ornamental structures as the main visual vocabulary.
The character was kept at the centre of the composition, while the surrounding objects were arranged to create a frame around the figure. This helped the illustration read as one unified merch graphic instead of a collection of separate assets.
Key decisions
The composition was built around a strong central hierarchy: character first, typography and surrounding ornament second. This keeps the main figure readable even inside a highly detailed graphic.
A predominantly monochrome treatment was used to create a heavy printed-merchandise feel. Red accents were introduced selectively to emphasise the weapons, wounds, and key visual details without breaking the overall tonal structure.
The surrounding chains, spikes, blades, and distressed textures extend the character into a larger emblem-like shape. This gives the graphic a stronger physical presence when placed on apparel.
The final merchandise design was developed collaboratively with TUCKSTOCK©, translating the illustration into a finished apparel graphic.
What was delivered
The final custom illustration was produced at 3000×3000 px and prepared as the main artwork for the Medieval Torture Tee.
The artwork was combined with the merchandise layout in collaboration with TUCKSTOCK©, resulting in the final graphic used for the product.
The finished design is currently presented as the OG Medieval Torture Tee in Original God’s official Shopify store.
